WHO IS THE FRESH CHEF?
Meet Virginia Blashill, Executive Chef of The Fresh Chef Personal Chef Service.
Virginia has had a long and creative career as a chef. She began cooking at the age of 3, under the tutelage of her mother, who taught her the importance of cooking and baking from scratch, and using fresh ingredients. “We never, ever ate anything frozen or out of can unless we were camping!”
She is a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy, earning a diploma as a Personal Chef. Chef Virginia is a member of the United State Personal Chef Association, as well as the Puget Sound Personal Chef Association.
Chef Virginia has many years of experience in the food industry as a chef, baker and caterer. Although self-trained, she has taken many culinary classes, and apprenticed under talented chefs. Her cooking style is eclectic, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients, creative food pairings, and an attention to detail.
An enthusiastic baker, she regularly experiments with artisan breads, and keeps a sour dough starter going in her home refrigerator. Her garden provides year-round fresh, organic herbs. Chef Virginia is committed to providing the best, most flavorful and healthy food possible.
